Congenital Coronary Artery Obstruction Associated with Aortic Valve Anomalies
نویسندگان
چکیده
Coronary arterial obstruction associated with congenital aortic valve disease is rare in childhood. We studied two children with aortic valve disease and symptoms of coronary insufficiency. Cineangiography revealed localized obstruction of the proximal left coronary artery. In one patient, a membrane-like structure partially covered the left sinus of Valsalva, almost isolating the ostium of the left coronary artery; the other patient had severe stenosis of the proximal left coronary artery and a congenitally hypoplastic left coronary cusp. Surgical repair was successful in both cases. Symptoms of myocardial ischemia in children with aortic valve disease should be investigated promptly to exclude obstruction of the coronary arteries.

Correlation Between Aortic Valve Sclerosis and Coronary Artery Disease: A Cross - Sectional Study
Introduction: Aortic valve sclerosisis considered as a manifestation of coronary atherosclerosis. Recent studies demonstrated an association between aortic valve sclerosis and obstructive coronary artery disease. The purpose of this study was to evaluatethe correlation betweenaortic valve sclerosis andobstructive coronary artery disease and the extent of coronary artery disease in patients ho...

Abnormal attachment of the aortic valve caused obstruction to left coronary arterial flow in a young girl, who presented with angina of effort. Aortic valve and root replacement resulted in the patient's effort tolerance returning to normal with resolution of the exercise electrocardiographic and angiographic abnormalities. This case emphasises the importance of an awareness of the existence of...
متن کاملAortic Valve Replacement in Bicuspid Aortic Valve with a Single Coronary Artery
Coronary artery anomalies combined with bicuspid aortic valve are rare but cause perioperative complications if not detected on time. Because anomalous coronary arteries vary with respect to the ostium’s origin and transverse route, the precise anatomy should be identified preoperatively and the procedure modified. We describe a severely stenotic bicuspid aortic valve and anomalous coronary art...
متن کاملA unique case of quadricuspid aortic valve with coronary artery and descending aorta-to-pulmonary artery fistulae.
A 46-year-old man with well-controlled hypertension presented with dyspnea, palpitations, and a murmur of aortic regurgitation. Echocardiography revealed a quadricuspid aortic valve (QAV) with 4 equal-sized cusps and enlarged left main coronary artery ostium (Figure 1A). On additional imaging, an unusual flow was seen entering the proximal main pulmonary artery from the lateral aspect just dist...
متن کاملPacman Heart as a Congenital Cardiac Defect Associated with Flail Mitral Valve and a Partial form of Shone\'s Complex; A Case Report
Partial muscular inter-ventricular septal defect (VSD) or Pacman heart is a rare congenital or occasionally acquired anomaly. Concurrent Pacman heart and Shone's complex are extremely rare and have never been reported until now. We described a 37-year-old male patient with congenital Pacman heart, flail mitral valve (FMV), and a history of multiple congenital anomalies, including subvalvular ao...
